Notice of China Insurance Regulatory Commission on Matters concerning Authorizing Shanghai Insurance Exchange Co., Ltd. to Manage the China Reinsurance Registration System

All insurance companies, reinsurance companies, and insurance brokerage companies:
In order to make effective use of regulatory resources and improve regulatory efficiency, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (“CIRC”) has decided to authorize Shanghai Insurance Exchange Co., Ltd. (“SHIE”) to manage the China Reinsurance Registration System (hereinafter referred to as the “Registration System”). You are hereby notified of the relevant matters as follows:
I. The CIRC will authorize SHIE to manage the Registration System as of 0:00 on February 26, 2018, and at the same time, relocate the Registration System to SHIE. From 00:00 on February 24, 2018 to 24:00 on February 25, 2018, the Registration System will perform data exchange and website switching, and the use thereof shall be suspended.
II. After SHIE is authorized to manage the Registration System, the website of the Registration System will be changed from http://reinsurance.circ.gov.cn to http://crrs.shie.com.cn. Users can access to the Registration System by directly visiting the new website. The usernames and passwords of users who have already registered in the Registration System shall remain unchanged.
III. After SHIE is authorized to manage the Registration System, each company shall still apply for its account and reset its password in accordance with the requirements of the Notice of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission on Issues concerning the Launch of the Reinsurance Registration System and the Reinsurance Regulation System (No.204 [2015], CIRC) and the Notice of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission on Issues concerning the Launch of the Reinsurance Registration System (No. 207 [2015], CIRC). The email address for sending the username and password to the contact person of the applicant or the recommended institution will be changed to crrs@shie.com.cn.
IV. In case of any problem encountered in the use of the Registration System, all insurance companies, reinsurance companies, and insurance brokerage companies shall contact SHIE in a timely manner. Where an overseas institution encounters any problem related to the Registration System, the institution recommending it shall be responsible for contacting SHIE.
V. This Notice shall come into force on the date of issuance.
All local offices of the CIRC shall forward this Notice to all insurance brokerage companies within their jurisdictions.
