On March 6th, Radnayeva, General Manager of Sinorus Legal Consulting in Russia, stated at the roundtable conference on "Exhibition and Industrial Tourism" that despite the pressure brought by sanctions, exhibition and industrial tourism have become the driving force for the growth of Russia China trade in 2024.
The roundtable conference on "Exhibition and Industrial Tourism" is organized by the Russia China Friendship, Peace and Development Committee and Sinorus Legal Consulting Company in Russia. Radnayeva pointed out that the total trade volume between Russia and China in 2024 increased by 1.9% year-on-year, reaching 244.819 billion US dollars. Russia's exports to China remained stable at 129.32 billion US dollars, while imports from China increased by 4.1% to 115.499 billion US dollars.
Radnayeva said, "Chinese businessmen actively participated in Russian exhibitions and visited enterprises, organized business delegations to visit Russia, and held talks with leaders from various regions and representatives of large, medium, and small enterprises in Russia. I believe that exhibitions and industrial tourism were one of the driving forces behind the growth of Russia China trade volume last year.
She pointed out that the demand for Russian businessmen to participate in Chinese exhibitions is also increasing. Radnayeva said, "This is because China's exhibitions are not only huge in scale, but are usually the largest events in their respective industries. The China International Import Expo, China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), and China International Fair for Trade in Services are the most popular exhibitions among Russian businessmen.
Experts believe that Chinese exhibitions provide opportunities for Russian companies to showcase their products and services in the Chinese market, attract Chinese consumers, and establish business connections with leading Chinese companies and entrepreneurs. Participating in Chinese exhibitions can also help understand local demand and market preferences, as well as research the latest trends and innovations in related industries, "said Radnayeva.
